Encouraging and Equipping Men and Women with the Word of God
to Build and Nurture Godly Marriages and Families

Prepare to Last is an 8-week class series led by an experienced married couple for pre-married, seriously dating, and newlywed couples. The class is open to member and non-member couples interested in attending Victory’s PREPARE to LAST class. Members of Victory are eligible to attend the Prepare to Last class and to be married by a pastor of Victory Family Church. Engaged couples are required to complete all premarital classes. Topics of discussion include: marital expectations, communication, conflict resolution, sex & intimacy, financial management, personality differences, goals & dreams, spiritual unity (husband/wife roles). Victory offers Prepare to Last premarital classes a couple of times a year.

Newlywed +7 is a 6-week class series is for couples married less than ten years. The class is facilitated by experienced, trained marriage mentor couples. Class topics include: adjusting to expectations; striving for a Christ-centered marriage; breaking down walls; resolving conflict; restoring sex and intimacy; succeeding with finances and budgets; and learning to communicate clearly. Newlywed+7 offers a fun, interactive, and encouraging forum where couples gain enrichment required to build godly, fulfilling, long-lasting, stable marriages.

Marriage Builders is an 8-week class where you and your spouse can be encouraged by the Word of God, experience fellowship, learn biblical principles, and receive prayer support needed to build and strengthen your marriage. The two-part class is offered up to three times a year.

Marriage… God’s Idea

Marriage, sex, and family are God’s idea. At the heart of marriage is companionship and intimacy, which both husband and wife must promote. Ephesians 5:21-33 notes that marriage between a husband and wife is modeled after the marriage relationship between Christ and the church. Marriage provides a way for a man and woman to experience God in everyday life… jointly pursuing love, purpose, procreation, joy, health, pleasure, purity, priority, prosperity, longevity, and reward.

Marriage is a Covenant Relationship

“For better or worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness and in health, as long as we both shall live….” Thousands of couples make this promise yearly as they pledge their love for each other, for a lifetime. Yet, why are so many of those promises broken? We live in an increasingly toxic culture where evil and sin influence the lives of non-Christians and Christians alike. When these dark, negative influences affect marriages, the lives of men, women, and children are severely damaged or destroyed. Thankfully, the Word of God provides illumination and life-changing guidance, truth, and wisdom that couples can apply in their marriages. The Word of God clearly explains that God’s plan has always been for marriage to be a covenant or binding relationship lasting a lifetime— the promises are to be kept, regardless of the circumstances. The Bible and the Holy Spirit provide invaluable instruction, encouragement, and empowerment—a winning formula for couples to follow and live by. Consequently, many marital problems which commonly lead to strife, estrangement, or divorce can be avoided, and a marriage can flourish for a lifetime.

Engagement in the Spiritual Battle for Marriage and the Family

Victory Family Church has local influence in the community of Cranberry Township, PA, and regional influence in the northeast geography of the U.S. Victory Family Church is actively engaged in the spiritual battle for the institutions of marriage and the family. Accordingly, the church established Marriage Resources.

The Marriage Resources ministry team encourages and equips men and women with the Word of God to build covenant marriages and godly, stable families. The marriage ministry provides mentoring, teaching, and guidance to pre-married and newlywed couples; married couples with “good” relationships desiring enrichment; and couples seeking to rebuild or restore marriage relationships. The ministry serves Victory’s members and regular attendees.

Marriage Coaching

According to Drs. Les & Leslie Parrott, Christian authors and foremost authorities on mentoring and marriage relationships, “The purpose of marriage coaching is to lovingly invest in preparation, maximization, and restoration of lifelong marriages by walking alongside couples who are less experienced than their coaches.”

Has God blessed you with a good, but not necessarily a “perfect” marriage? Are you interested in passing that blessing onto another couple by sharing your marriage experience and God-given wisdom with another couple?

By coaching another married couple, you are adding a worthwhile relationship and helping another couple to build a covenant marriage and a godly, stable family.
