FEAR
One of two forces will govern the outcome of your life - FEAR or FAITH!
Both "Fear" and "Faith" forecast the future; the question is, "Whose report will you believe?"
We must determine whether "Fear" or "Faith" is going to set our expectations for our future.
"Faith" "magnifies" God and "Fear" magnifies circumstances.
Fear is cultivated through the action of "Worry," and "Worrying" is declaring that you believe God doesn't care for you.
I Peter 5:7 - Casting the whole of your care, all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.
"Faith" will lead you into the "Purposes of God" for your life, and "Fear" will cause you to not act upon those purposes.
Myles Munroe said, "The greatest places of untapped resources on the earth are grave yards."
Psalm 34: 4 - I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
Can God truly deliver you from "All Fears?"

- Fear of Man
- Fear of Death
FEAR OF FAILURE
Psalm 37:23-24 - The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives. 24 Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand.
Psalm 27: 3-5 - Though an army besieges me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident. 4 One thing I ask of the LORD, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the LORD and to seek him in his temple. 5 For in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock.
- There is no foundation more solid than following the will of God for your life.
- Obeying "His Purposes" sets you on a "High Place" upon a "Rock."
- A "High Place" is an insecure location, and what God is saying is that I will put you in territory that will be "insecure" to man but "secure" to God.
God has made you to walk in the "High Places" of life!
Psalm 18:33 - He makes my feet as sure footed as a deer scaling the mountains [able to stand firmly or make progress on the dangerous heights of testing and trouble]; He sets me securely upon my high places.
FEAR OF MAN
Jeremiah 1:4-8 - "I knew you before I formed you in your mother's womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my spokesman to the world." 6 "O LORD," I said, "I can't speak for you! I'm too young!" 7 "Don't say that," the LORD replied, "for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. 8 And don't be afraid of the people or their faces, for I will be with you and take care of you. I, the LORD, have spoken!"
Psalm 27:1,3-6 - The LORD is my light and my salvation -- whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life -- of whom shall I be afraid?
Hebrews 13: 6 - That is why we can say without any doubt or fear, "The Lord is my Helper, and I am not afraid of anything that mere man can do to me."
FEAR OF DEATH
Hebrews 2:14-15 - Because God's children are human beings -- made of flesh and blood -- Jesus also became flesh and blood by being born in human form. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the Devil, who had the power of death. 15 And also that He might deliver and completely set free all those who through the [haunting] fear of death were held in bondage throughout the whole course of their lives. |
