Philippians 1: 9 - I pray that your love for each other will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in your knowledge and understanding. Colossians 1:9 - So we have continued praying for you ever since we first heard about you. I Thessalonians 5:17 - Pray without ceasing.
I Thessalonians 5:25 - Brethren, pray for us. Ephesians 1:16 - I have not stopped giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers. Ephesians 3:14 - For this cause I bow my knees [in prayer] unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Philippians 4:6-7 - Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
II Corinthians 1:8-11 - We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about the hardships we suffered in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired even of life. 9 Indeed, in our hearts we felt the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead. 10 He has delivered us from such a deadly peril, and he will deliver us. On him we have set our hope that he will continue to deliver us, 11 as you help us by your prayers. Then many will give thanks on our behalf for the gracious favor granted us in answer to the prayers of many.
Colossians 4:2-4 - Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart. 3 Don't forget to pray for us, too, that God will give us many opportunities to preach about his secret plan - that Christ is also for you Gentiles. That is why I am here in chains. 4 Pray that I will proclaim this message as clearly as I should. Pray that:
- God will give opportunities to preach the gospel
- That Paul would proclaim the message clearly
James 5:16 - Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. Hebrews 10:5 - Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. Luke 10:19 - Behold, I give you POWER OR AUTHORITY [Exousia] to tread on serpents and scorpions and OVER ALL THE POWER [Dunamis] OF THE ENEMY: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.
EXOUSIA - The power of "authority or influence" and right of privilege. The power to rule as in government. The capacity to make commands that must be submitted to and obeyed by others. The power or ability possessed by one, delegated to another.
DUNAMIS - Strength, power and ability. The inherent power residing in a given thing by virtue of its nature.
Philippians 1:19 - For I know that this [my imprisonment] will turn out for my deliverance through your prayer and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, |
