Zechariah 4:6 - ...Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit says the Lord of Host.
 
Isaiah 10:27 - And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off your shoulder and his yoke from off your neck and THE YOKE OF SLAVERY SHALL BE  DESTROYED "BECAUSE OF THE ANOINTING."

ANOINTING: The power that emanates from the person of the Holy Spirit that enables and equips you to do the will, purpose and plan of God.

2 ASPECTS OF THE ANOINTING OF THE  HOLY SPIRIT

1. THE ANOINTING UPON - Benefits others
2. THE ANOINTING WITHIN - Benefits the individual

THE ANOINTING UPON

LUKE 3:21-23 -  Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened,  22 And the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, You are my beloved Son; in you I am well pleased.  23  And Jesus himself began to be about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph.

Luke 2:52 - And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man.
 
John 2:11 -  This (changing water to wine), the first of his miraculous signs, Jesus performed at Cana in Galilee. He thus revealed his glory, and his disciples put their faith in him.

John 14:10 - Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works
 
Philippians 2:7 - He stripped himself of ALL privileges and  rightful dignity so as to assume the guise of a servant, in that he became like a man and was born a human being.
 
FACTS ABOUT THE ANOINTING UPON:

1. The Anointing upon is never for the benefit of the one Anointed, but for the ones he or she is Anointed to minister to.
    
   Matthew 20:28 - Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.
   
   
2. The "Anointing Upon" doesn't equip you to live the Word, just to declare it and demonstrate it to others.
3. The Anointing Upon is not equally distributed in the lives of Christians by God.

UNDERSTANDING THE ANOINTING WITHIN
 
I JOHN 2:20,26-28 - But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things.   26 These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive and seduce you. 27 But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him. 28  And now, little children, abide in Him, that when He appears, we may have confidence and not be ashamed before Him at His coming.

THE PURPOSE OF THE ANOINTING WITHIN:

1. TO PROTECT YOU FROM BEING DECEIVED
2. TO REMOVE YOUR NEED TO BE DEPENDENT UPON MEN FOR TRUTH, BRINGING YOU INTO A HIGHER REALM THAN OLD TESTAMENT SAINTS
3. TO TEACH YOU ONLY TRUTH AND PROVIDE A "CHECK" IN YOUR SPIRIT WHEN YOU ARE EXPOSED TO LIES. 
4. TO TEACH YOU HOW TO ABIDE IN CHRIST

John 14:26 -  But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
 
John 8:30-32 - Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are My disciples indeed.  32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free or produce freedom."
