Spiritual Focus

During your student’s school year, Victory Family Church will go in-depth in February on a biblical principle during services. This isn’t the only time they will learn about this topic. We are just emphasizing the principle during this period. The subject is determined based on their age, stage of development, and what’s culturally and socially relevant.

Salvation

The fifth-grade spiritual focus is the biblical principle of salvation. We will help you learn the importance of salvation. Romans 10:9 says to confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, and you’ll be saved. Your child will not only be able to receive the gift but also be empowered to share the good news with others. We know that salvation isn’t meant to be kept to ourselves but to proclaim this gift to the world. Your child will also be able to get someone else saved.

Parent/
Student Engagement

Parent/student engagements are designed to help connect and strengthen the family unit by providing intentional conversations that your student needs in this season of life. In October, we want to help provide you with Godly insight in regard to technology and the necessary boundaries around cell phones. We want to see you and your family thrive in a digital world together!

Navigating Technology

In this section, we’re talking about technology and how to navigate cell phones. Did you know that studies show that 42 percent of kids have a phone by fifth grade? So how do you navigate this with your middle schooler? We have resources to help you do just that. First, we have our cellphone discussion guide. This resource touches on calling, texting, social media, and more. Second, we have the parent and student contracts. This allows you to set clear boundaries with your student.
