Your Student’s Phase
THIS AGE IS ALL ABOUT GROWTH AND DISCOVERY. WHEN A FIRST GRADER LEARNS OR ACCOMPLISHES SOMETHING NEW, THEY MUST SHOW YOU. THEY WANT YOUR PRAISE AND APPROVAL BECAUSE THEY DID DO SOMETHING AMAZING!
Spiritual Focus
During your student’s school year, Victory Family Church will go in-depth in February on a biblical principle during services. This isn’t the only time they will learn about this topic. We are just emphasizing the principle during this period. The subject is determined based on their age, stage of development, and what’s culturally and socially relevant.
Salvation
By the first grade, kids can learn and understand salvation. They can process that cause and effect and relate it to sin and why we need salvation through Jesus Christ. By deep diving into salvation, we can help kids understand the why, what, and how behind salvation. When we do that, we guide them to the start line in their journey and relationship with Christ.
Parent/
Student Engagement
We want to walk alongside you with your students as they navigate their lives. These are resources and tools you can use with them!
Devotional Plan
As a parent, you want to model a devotional life for your kids so that they can understand what that means. It doesn’t have to be complicated, just something you do together. As they grow, you can encourage them to do parts on their own so that they become a disciple of Christ.
In the first grade, we challenge our kids to get God’s Word into their hearts by memorizing scripture. The goal is to memorize 55 verses from the time they are in 1st grade until they finish the 4th grade. The verses are divided into sections, and after completing a section they can earn a prize.
