4th Grade
Parent Resources
Your Student’s Phase
Confidence reigns supreme at this stage. Though this helps a fourth grader learn new things, it can lead to overconfidence in some areas when they say, “I got this.”
Balancing freedom to try new things and coming in to save the day can be a struggle for mom and dad. Boundaries and routines will help your kid to explore and do things on their own.
Spiritual Focus
During your student’s school year, Victory Family Church will go in-depth in February on a biblical principle during services. This isn’t the only time they will learn about this topic. We are just emphasizing the principle during this period. The subject is determined based on their age, stage of development, and what’s culturally and socially relevant.
Serving
Your fourth grader is quickly growing up! Kids understand another’s perspective at this age better and often want to help others. This is an excellent quality, and we want to help them learn, grow, and channel this desire to serve others.
Learning to serve and be the body of Christ is very important in growing in their walk with God. By helping them understand and grow in the reason behind serving, they can use their God-given gifts and talents as part of the body of Christ.
At Victory we have lots of outreach opportunities that you can do as a family to help teach your kid about serving in a real and practical way. Check out the ways that you can bless others in our community.
Parent/
Student Engagement
We want to walk alongside you with your students as they navigate their lives. These are resources and tools you can use with them!
Responsibility Challenge
At this age, kids are growing in their confidence. They have some experience as an elementary student at school, making friends and growing in their ability to be responsible. Chores are a great way to challenge your kid and develop a sense of responsibility which is the goal for any parent that wants to raise an independent adult.
